Less is BEST when I comes to submitting photos of your child to modeling agencies. Simple at-home snapshots using a cell phone camera are preferred among many top well- known agencies. Your child’s overall appearance is constantly changing and you do not want to spend thousands of dollars on photos that only lasts for a month or two.

Although, you are using a cell phone camera, you want to ensure that the photos are clear with great lighting. Taking their photos in natural light, preferably outside against a brick wall or solid colored wall is always a good idea. If you have a hard time getting your child to cooperate in front of the camera practice taking pictures of them on a regular so that they are more comfortable in front of the camera.

You will need a variety of snapshots of your child. Two shots should be full length body shots and the other two need to be close ups, head to shoulders and head to waist. Modeling Agencies want to see your child’s personality. They like to see different facial expressions such as smiling, frowning, crying, sad, and excited.

So be prepared to accept “NO” with grace, and know that it is not the end of the world. There are plenty other Child Modeling Agencies that would love represent your child.

    5. Enjoy The Journey !

As a child model it can get hectic and become very time consuming. Your child should never feel pressured into doing something that they are not enjoying. When auditioning and on set keep a good attitude and encourage them as you go. Positivity is key.
